The original Deepsea

The Deepsea 116660 Black Dial was introduced in 2008, and the original reference had as its main strength the perfect proportions between the case and the bracelet, making it a unique and unrepeatable design. The subsequent models, in my opinion, are noth

The original Submariner was even smaller: The 6200/ 6204/ 6536-38 and so on were 37 mm. The 5512-13 was 40 mm.

You are right, the inflation was not only about prices, but also about size. Nonetheless, I am a huge fan of the James Cameron Deep Sea. I want one! Best, Nicolas

Didn't the original black dial Deepsea come out in 2008.

At a time when Offshores and Panerais were in their prime. I assume that Rolex launched the Deepsea to get a slice of the larger watch business, but I love that they didn't just build a bigger submariner (with 300m of water resistance) and call it a day.

The James Cameron Deepsea... A Watch That Wears As Big As The Man's Movies.

There's no denying that James Cameron knows how to go big. Titanic. Avatar. A solo dive to the deepest point on Earth. So it makes perfect sense that the Rolex bearing his unofficial nickname would be... substantial. The Deepsea D-Blue at 44mm and nearly

Rolex Sea-Dweller 16660.

Another shot of this marvelous transitional reference. There is not much better than this one, in terms of Sea Dwellers.. The James Cameron, I like it a lot, and it is one of my targets, but not above this one. Maybe a Double Red MK II??? Best, Nicolas

You are absolutely correct!

I remember when I saw it first the first time at my AD in the display case I imagined it weights a tone, the fast forward when it was offered to me, I grabbed it and couldn’t believe how light it is compared to the size! I haven’t weighed it but my guess

Thanks very much for your helpful additional thoughts.

I don’t mind heavy watches. I currently have a James Cameron which must be a bit lighter than you GMT but within the same ballpark. The weight feels heavy in the hand but, when it’s wrapped around the wrist, it’s fine. I could live with slight legibility

Rolex Sea Dweller 1665 Double Red MK II.

What can I say??? Other that I would love to add a DRSD in my collection, as well as a GMT MASTER Fat Lady, a James Cameron Deep Sea Dweller and a GMT MASTER Meteorite. My final pieces. This one is just spectacular. One of the finest I've ever seen. Best,

I’m at a client engagement in Kansas City and I’ve just won the James Cameron Super Bowl!!!😂🤣😂 I was having a late lunch at Q39 and received “that call” as I was eating. Obviously, I didn’t finish my lunch and raced to the AD. I met this SA back in Novemb
